Costlier now to make bikes in China
From Bike Europe: 'The changing economic
situation in China is stirring up the global bicycle industry.
Currently price increases of 6 to 7% for components as well as bikes
manufactured in China have already been announced. More is in the
pipeline as labour cost is year by year increasing with 30%. Even
higher ups are expected for 2009 due to new regulations on pension
