SRAM's new Force groupset, unveiled at Sea Otter on Friday, apparently features redesigned brakes and the new BB30 cranks, with carbon trimmings and fresh graphics on key components. The claimed weight for the group with the BB30 and bottom bracket is 1,957 grams (the standard group with a GXP crankset weighs 2,097 grams).
Component highlights:
* Unidirectional carbon finish for the brake levers, cranks (both GXP and BB30) and outer derailleur cage.
* New white graphics with a big SRAM logo on the back of the crank arms similar to the Red group.
* Steel cage on the front derailleur as used by ProTour teams.
* Gun metal finish for the machined brakes which are modelled after Red and forged from 6000-series alloy.
The new Force with the BB30 crankset is expected to cost $1,440 while the standard version with GXP cranks is priced at $1,400. More
