Danish pro cyclist Michael Rasmussen, who has questioned the validity of his expulsion from the Tour de France, apparently wanted to kill himself after he was booted out of the Tour de France for lying. Rasmussen was wearing the yellow jersey and won the 16th stage when he was unceremoniously thrown out for allegedly trying to avoid doping tests. "On the other side of the road, trucks kept passing us. It would have been easy to grab the steering wheel," he was quoted as saying in the Dutch daily De Telegraaf. "Then this terrible nightmare would have been over." Rasmussen said he wept while being driven away from the race. More
